    sync drawings across charts

If I have more than one tab of the same instrument, am I able to sync drawings across the charts? So if I draw a horizontal line one chart, it will appear on the others.

    Hello Grantx,

    Thanks for your post.

Yes, this can be done (tabbed or not) by setting the drawn object as a global draw object. Once set, it will appear on all charts of the same instrument unless in the data series of the chart you specifically change the property of "show global draw objects" to be unchecked. This selection can be helpful when you do not want a globally drawn object to appear on specific charts.

To set a drawn object to global, double left-click on the object to open the "Drawing Objects" window and the selected objects properties will be shown. The property 'Attach to" will show the current chart, left click the drop down to select "All charts".

Note: if you move or delete the object on any chart, it will similarly be moved or deleted on all charts.

Globally draw lines will be saved on the chart when you save the workspace.

You can review further details and helpful tips in the help guide section, "Understanding local vs. global drawing objects" in this page: https://ninjatrader.com/support/help..._tools__ob.htm

                Hello Tin34,

                Thank you for your post.

Currently, there is no built-in feature within NinjaTrader to globally default all newly created drawings to "Global Drawing Objects." Each drawing must be individually adjusted to global after being created. Suggestion for Managing Global Drawing Objects:
                1. Workspace Management: If your intention is to use the same drawings across multiple charts, ensure your workspace is saved after making drawings global.
                2. Efficient Adjustment:
                  • Once a drawing is created, right-click on it, select Drawing Object Properties, and check the Global option.
                  • Repeat for each drawing.
If you would like this option within NT8, please use the link below to submit this request to our product team for consideration to implement in future releases:
