    Time frame change in chart

After the new update to 8.0.19.0 I cannot change the time frame in the chart by just typing the minute number in the chart as I did before. I used to just type 60 in a 120 minute chart and the time frame would change. Now I get an error.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

This is expected behavior after the update. Instead of typing just the number 60, you will want to type "60M" with the M for the minute interval instead to achieve the same results.

Please let us know if we may be of any further assistance.

Not a big deal but why did they change it?

        Hello,

        Thanks for the reply.

It was changed to be uniform with other intervals. For example, changing to a 100 tick chart would always require you to type 100T rather than the number itself.

Please let us know if you have any more questions.

Because I have for years not put the "m" for minute after my entry for a chart time frame change, I forget sometimes, now it blanks out all my charts in the workspace. Why not just have the mistake post an error or message instead of messing all my charts up???? Or better yet, give us the option of keeping the same command as before?

            Hello,
            Thank you for your response.
Another reason for this change is that NinjaTrader has added some foreign instruments to the database that consist of numbers only, this means that typing a number into the chart and changing the interval would affect some users trying to access a specific instrument.
I am sorry to hear about your frustration with the item and I will forward your feedback to the development team.
Please don't hesitate to write in with any further NinjaTrader inquiries.

                Hello banunguyen,

                Thanks for the note.

Unfortunately there is no short cut for the HeikenAshi. That being said, you may change your chart to this type using the Data Series menu, or by customizing the 'Interval Selector' in the cahrt to include HeikanAshi 15 minute.

The following link to our Help Guide discusses how to do so:

Hi, Must say that it is a fantastic addition or rather simplification of usability.

Is there any way to add 'HA' for Heiken-Ashi & 'NR' for ninzaRenko, like 'MO' for month & 'RE' for Renko charts? Or allow any customization at the user-end?

That would be really great, wouldn't it?
