CBOE Gold Volatily index (GVZ) instrument not found

Hello 7robert,

I found the problem to be duplicate GVX stocks that needed to be removed. In the instruments window, search for GVX and delete all instances that you see (NinjaTrader will automatically create an instrument as a stock if you try to pull it up on a chart and it does not exist in the database), then re-create GVZ as an index. Also, make the master instrument name "^GVX". I was able to get it to pull up after these steps.

Hello ChrisL, I am a little confused because you tell me about GVX and GVZ at the same time, the instrument I need is GVZ not GVX. But I can't put ^ GVZ as the name of the master instrument because it tells me that I can't assign characters like. :, ^ etc

Sorry, I meant GVZ. It looks like Ninja will place the '^' for you, so it will just be "GVZ" for the master instrument name. When you pull it up on a chart, make sure to use "^GVZ"

It looks like the instrument is not enabled on your Kinetick account. If you enable the instrument on your account it should work after that.
