    Creating custom functions

    How would I create custom functions within a strategy? For example if I'd like to create a function that closed all working orders would it be simply:

    Code:
    void protected closeWorkingOrders()
    {
        //Code to close working orders
    }
    I'm just not sure if that's possible or what I'd need to do for me to create custom functions within the script.

    Yes, you may create all the custom methods your heart desires.

    No need for 'protected' (there will be no inheritance chain to take advantage of it)... so just make the access modifier 'private'.

    Otherwise, looks good!

      Hello Lumbeezl,

      Thanks for your post.

      Member bltdavid has provided the same response we would.

      You can see an example of a private method in the Platform indicator "TrendLines" under #Region Helpers.
