Why remain subscribed to Kinetic after hist data download?

Hi everyone,

can I ask a question regarding historical data please? I signed up with Kinetic for their data feed which is excellent. However, I am wondering why I should continue paying for my monthly subscription once I have downloaded all the data I need like historic data for stocks and forex. My broker is IB so they can fill the more recent gaps of a week or so, albeit very slowly.

So what's the reason those of you that are subscribed to feed provider stay with that provider?

You're correct that once you have the historical data stored locally, there would not technically be a need for a historical data feed unless you needed to fill in gaps or ever lost your locally stored historical data.

I encourage other users to chime in on the benefits of maintaining a subscription.
