Historical in Replay Data?

I want to playback charts but an indicator I use uses 5 prior days of historical data to print. If I download the replay data for those days, I still do not get the indicator to show up on my charts. Is historical data not included in the replay data? Do I need to manually download the historical data also?

This would depend on your license key.

With a license that allows for live trading historical data will automatically be downloaded from NinjaTrader's historical data servers when connecting to playback.

With the Simulation license that does not allow for live trading, historical data will not be automatically downloaded and it will be necessary to connect to a data provider that provides historical data for that instrument and data type and download the historical data (either from a chart or the Tools -> Historical Data window) before connecting to the playback.
