Volumetric Bars

Do Volumetric Bars have the ability to plot block trades on the bar? Like user specified above a certain size. If not it would be a nice feature to add in the future.

Thanks for your post.

NinjaTraders Volumetric bars can not currently display when a block trade occurs. From what I can tell these types of trades are generally hidden from the trading floor and electronic markets to protect from large price fluctuations.

That being said, I have submitted this as a feature request for you and will report back with a tracking number as soon as one is created.

Thank you. I have seen blocks going off on the T&S window. So it should not be an issue to show them in Volumetric Bars I feel.

Hello Trader17,

It has been brought to my attention that even though you cannot see block trades currently on the Volumetric bars you can do so with the new Order Flow+ Trade Detector Indicator by using 'Block Mode'. I am including our help guide documentation for that indicator below.
