Glad to assist. When this occurs with a live account, FXCM must adjust a backend account setting - because a demo is in use, this likely will not be able to be resolved on the current demo login. Try requesting an additional demo from the link below and let us know if you see the same.

Grantx I use many FXCM NinjaTrader demo accounts. When created, they have the same setting you have seen: hedging is enabled. You can request this be changed to be appropriate for use with NinjaTrader (hedging disabled) by contacting FXCM Technical Support. They are happy to make the change.

There is another setting related to FXCM demo accounts that also is important to consider. It concerns the instruments that are supported, or more specifically, the number of instruments the FXCM account can access. FXCM demo accounts support all instruments that FXCM maintains, but the accounts are, by default, limited to a maximum selection of 20 instruments, as defined within their online platform, Trading Station. This is fairly impractical when considering NinjaTrader, particularly if trading Forex. When requesting the Hedging setting be changed, you should also ask that the number limit on instruments be removed completely. Again, I have found they are happy to do this.
