    Hello,
    Thanks for posting.

This message means that switching the chart will remove the alert you have attached to the current instrument you are viewing. You can move this alert's conditions to the new instrument you are charting by clicking 'yes' to this pop up menu. Otherwise the alert will be removed once you switch instruments.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Why on earth would I want an alert added to ADBE to be moved to a completely different instrument?? And why would I want to remove the alert from ADBE I've literally just added??

        Hello,

The alerts feature is tied to the specific chart and instrument it is created on, so switching the instrument gives you the option to move these conditions to the new instrument or cancel the alert if it doesn't apply to your new instrument. It is not possible to save an alert to a specific instrument for every time you switch to this instrument or load a new chart of the instrument.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

            Hello,

For permanent alerts per instrument, you would likely want to add alerts via the market analyzer instead, as these will stay active until you remove the instrument or close the market analyzer.

Please let me know if I may assist further.

the market analyzer doesn't allow different price alerts on different instruments either.

That is absolutely incorrect, you can set individual instrument alerts. When you configure alerts in the analyzer by default it will apply the alerts to all instruments, or you can select individual instruments in the "Apply to" selection box.

I just saw this post. I know its old but I am new to NT. Ran into the same issue. Very very frustrating. The fix for me was this. Instead of using Market Analyzer to cycle through different charts like I was doing. I use tabs. Now I do not have to worry about alerts being deleted.
