Commissions built into stop loss?

Are commission built into your stop loss with ATM strategies?

ATM strategies have no concept of commissions and only abide by your 'parameter type' which by default is ticks. So, for example, if your stop loss is 5 ticks away from your entry, no additional ticks would be added to this to account for any commission charges from your broker.

Thanks for the help again PatrickG, I would like to go over a trade that occurred in SIM that has me a bit baffled. It should have given me a market entry and a protective stop loss at .14 cents using the % function of Chart Trader ATM. But is gave me a .05 cent stop loss and then a terrible fill once being hit at market. The stock was certainly volatile but liquid (which is what I always trade).

Okay, it just happened again. I am trying to set a hard stop for 50$ stoploss. I am entring the trade and instantly getting stopped out for a 200$ loss even though price never even came down that far it looks like.
