Volume Bar Width

Is there some way to ensure the volume bar width always matches the width of the candlesticks?

One of the feature requests recently implemented (starting 8.0.16.3) was to provide the option to make a plot with bars to be the same width as the data series bars. In the VOL indicator, expand out the Plots section of the indicator and look for the checkbox that shows "Match data series width" and check the box to have the bars match the data series width.

Why are they separated? ie, you can have green candles that match and red candles that don't?

"Do people want to do that? Was that a request? I'm curious why anyone would want to do that!". I do not know but I have been quite surprised at what has been requested. Yes, it was a requested feature (plot style bar to match chart bars width). One situation might be where the plot style bars are overlaid on each other and one plot could be set to the chart bars and the other could be set to some fixed value.

There are very few indicators that have multiple plot styles set as bar type. So having to check more than one checkbox for this would be pretty rare. If this is troubling to you to have to check two checkboxes for this one indicator, keep in mind that you can always create an indicator template that has both plots checked and then can apply that template as needed or if saved as "Default" would be applied every time you use the indicator, thereby mitigating the inconvenience to setting just once.
