    Rectangle midpoint

    Hello,

I want to ask please if it is possible when drawing rectangles to have the midpoint (vertical midpoint from low to high) of the rectangle with a horizontal line or dot or somehow to see.

    Thank you!
    Tony

    Hello tonynt,

    Thanks for your post.

The rectangle does not provide for this. For now, you could create a custom Fib retracement template that shows only a 50% line and apply a fib to the rectangles High to low.

I will create a feature request to provide an option to display reference dots or markers for 50% of height and width.

I will update this thread when I have the feature request number.

      Hello tonynt,

The feature request for a 50% line in the rectangle tool has been assigned as SFT-4034, "Midpoint markers for rectangle drawing tool".

Thanks for your interest to improve NinjaTrader.

Thank you. So I followed the steps. Downloaded it, imported and selected the file but I do not see the drawing tool option populate. What am I missing?

With the indicator added when you draw a rectangle from the drawing tools, it will show the mid-point and price label marked.

Thank you. When initially searching for rect. 50% as an indicator I didn't realize it was within another folder titled differently. Is there also a way to get what the price of where the midline falls automatically via this indicator?

                    Hello mrsanchez86 and pieterwill,

I don't see a way to have it plot the midpoint value.
