Stop orders in ATM going out as STP instead of SLM (in equities only)

I don't use ATM's, but recently started to and when I have "Stop limit for stop loss" checked, it sends the order (IB) as a STP instead of a SLM. This is only on stock orders, on futures it is a SLM limit. All parameters are the same. Ideas?

Thank you for posting.

This is expected. When using Stop limit for stop loss for Stock order entry, the settings will automatically place a Stop Market order.

By default, Stop Limit orders have a Default offset of 20 ticks. Because Stocks ticks are very small, and because of the volatility of stocks, by default a Stop Market order will be placed to ensure the order can be filled and the Limit Order does not get skipped due to price change.

Is there anyway to change that? A custom Ninjascript strategy I assume? With a STP market you can get very adverse fills....would rather be able to customize the limit.
