    saeed,

    Thanks for your post.

What version of Windows are you attempting to Install NinjaTrader on?

Has NinjaTrader been installed on this PC previously?

Do other programs install as expected on this PC? What program(s) have you installed to confirm this?

Are there any pending Windows Updates on this PC?

I look forward to assisting further.

Please send me your Windows Event Viewer logs. To get the Event Viewer log please do the following:
            • Go to the start menu in Windows and search for Event Viewer
            • Expand Window Logs
            • Left click on Application
            • Right click on Application
            • Select 'FilterCurrent Log...'
            • Change the 'Logged' drop down option to 'Last 24 hours' > OK
            • Right click on Application again
            • Select 'Save Filtered Log File As...'
            • Make note of the save location, Enter a name for the file, and select Save

Once done, I'm happy to check into this with you if you would please email us at PlatformSupport [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com. In your message please include a link to this forum thread and a copy of the Event Viewer Logs.

                  saeed,

                  Thanks for your positive feedback.

For anyone else who comes across this thread and sees the same issue in Windows 10, this was an issue of Windows Defender's Controlled Folder Access. To check into this, take these steps:
                  • Select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > Virus & threat protection.
                  • Under Virus & threat protection settings, select Manage settings.
                  • Under Controlled folder access, select Manage Controlled folder access.
                  • Switch the Controlled folder access setting to On or Off.
The below publicly available link outlines these steps:

Learn how to use virus and threat protection options in Windows Security to scan your device for threats and view the results.
