creating an alert using bar statistics

Hi. I am trying to create an alert using volume from the bar statistics that get generated thru NT8's order flow. I went into alerts and set it up but no alerts get generated when volume hits the level I entered. I am using at 13500 tick chart and am looking for an alert to be generated when volume for a single bar exceeds 30,000 contracts.

Thanks for opening the thread.

It should be noted that alerts will only occur with realtime data or in the Playback Connection where realtime data is mimicked.

I did not have issue setting an alert to trigger off of a certain amount of volume on a 13500 tick chart. Please take the same steps as I have in the demonstration when troubleshooting your alert: https://www.screencast.com/t/QxO2DjTk7qHz

followup question

thanks again for the assistance. i have a followup question. i am trying to setup sending text messages when this alert gets triggered. when i go into the alert there aren't any options for setting up text message to be sent. i have already setup my email ub options/general/shared services.

We're happy to assist.

Please use the following instructions to configure an Alert using a Share Service:

1. Configure the Share Service from the Control Center > Tools > Options > General
2. Send a Test message or test the Connect button to ensure it is configured properly
3. Add an action for the Alert for "Share a message"
4. Select the Share To button and select your configured Share Service
