Strategy Analyzer Optimization Question

I keep getting message that "The strategy must have at least one parameter to optimize". The indicators I am using are PSAR and EMa. Does the strategy analyzer only work with certain indicators?

This message means that the strategy needs something to optimize.

Does the strategy have parameters? Have you set a range for at least one parameter?

Hello Chelsea,
It is not giving me the option to set a range of parameters. My strategy uses Price that crosses MA and is over or under Parabolic SAR.

Hello Sadat,

An optimization is used for optimizing the best values to use for inputs. If the strategy does not have any inputs the strategy cannot be optimized, as there are no inputs to optimize.

(As an example the SampleMACrossOver included with NinjaTrader has Fast and Slow input controls to adjust the length of the SMA periods and these inputs can be optimized over)
