volume and indicators only update on the close of a bar

I opted to pay the higher commissions and try the free version of NT8, I noticed that the chart shows the volume when the bar closes, which is of no value to a trader, also the indicators lag behind till the candle is done , so is this normal for the charts or is it because i opted to pay like $5 per contract? to be honest the fact that I can't chart trade or use a OCO although i do pay MORE in commissions is bad enough. if i bought the License would the charts actually work?

In the indicator's properties, you can change the "Calculate" property to either "On Each Tick" or "On Price Change".

I copied the relevant explanations from the Help Guide.

Note: The "Calculate" property offers three possible settings to control how often an indicator performs its calculations:

•	On Bar Close - Run calculations once on the close of each bar of the Input Series

•	On Each Tick - Run calculations on each incoming tick of price data (CPU intensive)

•	On Price Change - Run calculations at the close of a bar if that bar's Close price differs from its Open price
