Trade Performance - Commissions

When I go to look at my stats in trade performance it shows commissions as $0. Is it possible to load my commission cost so that it is calculated correctly?

Thank you for your post.

If you want to set up commissions in NinjaTrader 8 follow these steps:

• Please see the steps below on how to apply a Commission Per Instrument Type.
  • Navigate to the Control Center -> Tools > Commissions
  • Click 'add' in the Templates section (at the bottom)
  • Type a name for your commissions' template in the 'Name' field
  • Under the section 'Commission Per Instrument Type', select the instrument type that you would like to add the commissions to and then select 'edit'
  • Set a value for either 'Minimum Commission' (commission rate per side) or 'Per-unit Commission' (the commission rate for each individual contract), and then click 'OK'.
  • Click 'OK' to exit the Commissions window

  • Navigate to the Control Center -> Tools > Commissions
  • Click 'add' in the Templates section (at the bottom)

  • Select the instrument you would like to add the commissions to and then set a value for either 'Minimum Commission' (commission rate per side) or 'Per-unit Commission' (the commission rate for each individual contract), and then click 'OK'.
  • Click 'OK' to exit the Commissions window

• Now you will have to apply the commissions' template you just created to an account. Please see the following steps to do so.
  • Navigate to the Control Center -> Accounts tab
  • Right click on an account and select 'Edit Account...'
  • On the 'Commission' row, select the name of the custom template you created in the pull-down menu
  • Click 'OK
