Manual Strategy development question

Created an account to post this question.
I am in the process of developing a strategy manually and to do that I need live futures data in NinjaTrader 8 (7 ?) including historical tick-by-tick futures data.
What is the best way to go about it ?
1) Should I sign up for a brokerage account at NinjaTrader.com with Philip capital and then subscribe for CME live data feed ?
2) Can I use just the Ninja trader platform for free and only subscribe to the CME live data feed ?
3) Can I use my existing brokerage account at TDA and link it with Ninja Trader to get the live data feed ?

All I want is NinjaTrader 8 or 7 with historical futures data and simulated trading.

Thank you for your note.

Unfortunately you could not use your TDA account for futures data, only equities data is supported for this connection.
