Sharing Machine ID?

NinjaSupport,

I'm just curious, is it ok sharing my NinjaTrader machine ID? A contractor is sharing one of his proprietary strategies with me and he is asking for my Machine ID? The code will not be visible to me.

Thanks for your post.

Machine IDs are what 3rd party vendors use to register their software with your machine so that the software will only work with your machine, so in short yes and is very common.

I have uploaded these indicators and strategies that consultant has provided however I can't see them in my indicator list or strategy list. Consultant is telling me I won't be able to see them cause they are hidden.

I do not like this and would like to delete these indicators and strategies. How would I locate these on my computer and delete them? I've noticed in my log they are loading up every session

Thanks for your reply.

The proper way to remove 3rd party provided systems is to go to the NinjaTrader8 control center and select Tools>Remove Ninjascript assembly> and then select each one you wish to remove.
