Custom DLL issue

I have written a custom DLL that interfaces with Excel. It has tested flawlessly in C# VS 2017.

I am now trying to integrate this DLL with a NinjaScript Strategy. I have successfully 'referenced' the code in NinjaScript, but the editor is unable to access it. I suspect I'm doing something wrong; I just don't know what.

Any help would be appreciated.

Creating a DLL outside NinjaTrader and referencing it would be outside of what our desk supports, however if you can provide an example of the DLL and how you are trying to reference we may be able to provide some assistance.

I figured out how to reference the dll.

However, linking to an Excel spreadsheet results in a very slow connection for a small sheet (around 1-2 seconds). I decided to code it directly in NT8 and the response is now less than 1 millisecond.
