Bar Width settings change by itself

I have my bar width set to 3 on all charts. When I zoom all the way out on a chart, and then zoom in again, it automatically changes my bar width settings to 1. It happens on all time frames.

I have to keep changing it back to 3 every time I zoom out.

    Hello Johnny Santiago,

    Thank you for your note.

Unfortunately there is no way to turn off the auto change in bar width. As you zoom in and out it will auto change the bar width accordingly.

Let us know if we may assist further.

Yes. I understand that the bar width changes automatically when you zoom in and out. What is happening is this...

My bar width is set to 3.
When I zoom all the way out it changes to 1, which is normal.
But when I zoom all the way back in, the bar width stays at 1 instead of changing back to a higher width. Leaving me with very thin bars with large spaces in between when zoomed in.
      This has never happened before.

Let's clarify what we mean by 'zoom'. Does zoom mean you're using the zoom tool to zoom in a specific part of a chart? Or are you referring to compressing/decompressing the chart horizontally by left clicking and dragging on the time scale?

Please clarify exactly what steps you're taking so I may attempt to accurately recreate what you're reporting.

Yes. When I left click and drag the time scale.

Actually when I use a hotkey. CNTRL + mouse scroll

I cannot reproduce this issue by left clicking and dragging on the horizontal time scale:

World's leading screen capture + recorder from Snagit + Screencast by Techsmith. Capture, edit and share professional-quality content seamlessly.

The hotkey CTRL+mouse scroll does not compress or decompress the chart data. CTRL+UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW does this, however, I also cannot create your issue when I try using the hotkey.

Can you recreate his issue on a new chart window with no templates or indicators loaded?

Dude it's been happening to me nonstop. With indicators and without indicators. I just deleted all ninja trader files off my computer. Start it from a clean slate and it's still doing it. Even worse
