    Account balance in Euros

    Hi,
    I have an account with Amp Futures and connect to it using NinjaTrader 8 with the Rithmic datafeed.

    I have had my account balanceconverted to Euros on Amp Futures side but the account balance shown in NinjaTrader 8 is the converted equivalent in USD e.g. EUR 1000 at AMP is shown as USD 1127 in NinjaTrader 8.

    I read the following thread already


    I spoke to the team at AMP and they said that its NinjaTrader 8 that defaults the account balance to USD, is there a setting that I am missing or is there a workaround to show to account balance as is?

    Per the other forum thread, did you change the account denomination to EUR? Are you certain that your account contains zero balance in USD?

      Yes, it just shows the same balance, but the $ is replaced by the Euro sign.

      Are you certain that your account contains zero balance in USD?

      There is still a small(2%) balance in USD rest 98% is in Euros.

        After further research, it seems that the initial currency that the account is created in within NinjaTrader is 'hard-coded'. We're changing the help guide to make note of this limitation, and I have submitted this as a feature request to the Development Team.

        The internal tracking number for your feature request is SFT-3237. Please reference this internal tracking number if you ever have questions regarding this feature request.

        When a feature request is implemented, you'll find it in the release notes:

          Does this mean, as a workaround, if I delete the account in NinjaTrader and reconnect, there is way for this account to be picked up in EUR?

            That was my first through too, but it does not appear to result in any change to currency. CQG-based accounts seem hard-coded to USD at the moment.

                Rithmic-based connections also experience this hard-coded USD limitation.

                  OK. I don't want to mess around with my LIVE account, if the probability of fixing it is not high.

                  I'll just wait for an update from you on the feature request(shouldn't this be categorised as a bug though?)
