My script uses System.ServiceModel, and I need to feed it parameters like maxBufferSize through XML in the config file. Not sure how else it could get it these parameters it needs.

Adding to config XML file
I notice that in \Documents\NinjaTrader 8 there is a config XML file. Is it ok to add to this file?

Hello MM345,
I would not suggest trying to modify the config file. In case there was an error, this could cause a users settings, connections, license, and other important information to be disrupted or cause issues in the platform. It would be best to leave this file for the platform to use exclusively.
If you need to use an xml file for settings for your custom item, it would be suggested that you implement your own xml deserialization to load from your own file. Because NinajScript is just C#, this could be accomplished using the standard xml tools in C# which there are many tutorials for online.
I look forward to being of further assistance.JesseNinjaTrader Customer Service
