Would Old NT7 Files Work in the New Edition?

Hi

I used NT7 for years but haven't used it in about 3 years as I wasn't trading. I just signed up to demo the software again. I'm wondering if my old files in folders that I saved from when I did trade could be used to replace the current ones. And then I would update the software. Or do I need to create the charts, etc. all over again? I'm a bit rusty. Thanks.

I tried swapping out the files now and a box pops up with my old license and says it has expired. Is there some way to get around this and get back to the demo mode? Thanks.

I changed to the new Config file and now it works. Just need to update the contracts I guess.

If you already have NT installed on your machine, you should just have to update to the newest version

To upgrade NinjaTrader, please follow the steps below.
First, copy your license key from NinjaTrader under Help> License Key then exit NinjaTrader
Click on the link: http://ninjatrader.com/PlatformDirect
Enter your license key and press Submit
Select 'NinjaTrader 7' if you are on NinjaTrader 7
Select 'NinjaTrader 8' if you are on NinjaTrader 8
Select 'Download'
Critical: Before running the installer, ensure NinjaTrader is closed.

For future reference, is there anyway for me to delete posts I've made if they are no longer relevant?
