custom assembly errors on new version

I've just installed the latest version and it's causing the following custom assembly errors, please advise how to fix

when i start up the latest version, I get this error on the start up screen

Thanks for opening the thread.

It looks like there has been an issue with a corrupt installation. I would first recommend to download a new installer and attempt a Repair Installation. If that does not help, I would then suggest testing with a clean environment.

Please take the following steps to run a Repair on the installation

1. Close NinjaTrader
2. Delete your old installer
3. Download a new installer from https://ninjatrader.com/Download
4. Select Repair when running the installer

If these steps do not resolve the matter, I would suggest setting up a clean environment so we are sure that there is not any issue with the NinjaTrader programs folder.

1. Close NinjaTrader
2. Rename the Documents/NinjaTrader 8/ folder to "NinjaTrader 8 OLD"
3. Uninstall NinjaTrader from the Windows Control Panel
4. Download a new installer from https://ninjatrader.com/Download
5. Reinstall NinjaTrader

If you are able to start the platform up in the clean environment, please close NinjaTrader and rename the "NinjaTrader 8" folder to "NinjaTrader 8 NEW" and rename your "NinjaTrader 8 OLD" folder back to "NinjaTrader 8" so the program starts again with your saved platform. NinjaTrader 8 always loads the "NinjaTrader 8" documents folder on start up.

Please let me know if you are continuing to see issues after taking these steps.

Hi Jim,

My apologies, I didn't follow the instructions correctly the first time but have followed them now. By saving the old NT8 folder as "old" then replacing after a fresh install the upgrade worked.

I spoke too soon. NT8 opens without the compile custom assembly error but the compile issues are still there when I compile in script editor. I will contact your support directly. Thanks
