2500 tick & 5 minute chart

Hi,

I am looking to add a 5 minute EMA to a 2500 tick chart is this possible?
If not would it be possible to add a 5 minute chart and a 2500 tick chart to the same screen, one on top of the other? I tried this method and the 2500 tick bars are incorrect do I need to change something else to make them correct?

This may be done by using a "Hidden Data Series".

Thanks for your reply.

Since these are two different bar types, the minute data series looks to have taken control of the chart spacing instead of the tick based data series.If you right click> Data Series> select the Hidden Data series> uncheck Auto Scale> Ok, does this make your tick chart look as expected?

There I tried to remove auto scale on panel 1 and panel 2 ( at different times) and there is no difference

Thanks for your reply.

You'll want to ensure the tick based Data Series remains auto-scaled and the hidden time based data series does not remain checked. If you adjust the hidden data series to be in the same panel as the tick based panel (so both data series share panel 1) and uncheck auto scale for the hidden time based chart, do you see the tick based chart as expected?

Can you verify if Equidistant bar spacing is checked in the Chart's properties? (Right click on the Chart> Properties> check Equidistant bar spacing).

Late to this discussion, but "Trade The Plan . com" has a tool called the Replicator that does this. Very simple to set almost anything.
