Multiple N8 instances

Hi

Is it possible to open two instances of n8 at the same time? Such that, 1 instance is handling automatic live strategies and the other instance can be used for research... on the same computer. Once I go live a strategy I wouldn't want to turn off n8 or restart n8. This way, my other instance for research can be open/close without impacting live strategiss

Glad to assist. Only one instance of NinjaTrader 8 can be use at once time. It is, however, possible to access a second instance Windows.

how about logging in as different users on the same computer, that should be fine to separate NT8, correct? or would there be unforseen problems? I'm thinking of doing that so I can maintain a separate development workspace / custom / etc. on the same machine

Thank you for posting.

You may connect to multiple account connections using NinjaTrader 8, however they cannot be the same type of connection. For example, you cannot connect to two NinjaTrader Brokerage accounts on one platform at the same time because they use the same adapter to connect. However, you may connect to a NinjaTrader Brokerage and Interactive Brokers account simultaneously.
