NT8 freezing/locking up

When changing indicator parameters my program locks/freezes for 3, 4 or 5+ mins. Any suggestions - am I doing something inappropriate? I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled the program and shut down memory management programs along with antivirus programs and still experiencing the freezes.

Thanks for your post.

Does the freezing occur when changing the parameters on any built in indicator, or only on specific third party indicators?

Does the platform ever 'unfreeze' itself?

Third party and yes it does unfreeze after a number of minutes. The two indicators is the Ichimoku Cloud and Woodies CCI. I have never had problems in the past with them.

Please write in to PlatformSupport(AT)NinjaTrader(DOT)com and reference this forum post with RE:JOSH in the subject line. Please attach your Log and Trace files to your email so that I may investigate this matter further. You may follow the steps below to attach those files.

• Open your NinjaTrader folder under My Documents.
• Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
• Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
• Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

I've been having the same problem intermittently. It's a bit frustrating when you are trading a live account.

This issue was considered resolved after the third party items were removed.
