I would like to have my programmer code me a custom connection into a crypto exchange and I am wondering why this has not been done yet. Is there a limitation or policy as to why there are numerous data feed api's but none trade live?

There is not a limitation that I am aware of. Crypto trading is just not something that is supported at this time.
This is something the Development team has been aware of for some time and we are currently tracking demand for Crypto trading to be added. I will go ahead and have a vote added on your behalf.
