No bars on chart

Hi,

I just installed NT8 and connect to FXCM demo, but when I open a new chart it is blank.
The connection is yellow and I got an error message (see picture).
What's wrong and how do I fix it?

It means you are not connecting to FXCM, so your charts are blank as there is no data......the connection must be green.....is this the first time you have connected...or tried to connect?

Yes, this is the first time I try NT8, used NT7 many years ago, but never encountered this error message or completely blank charts before.
I kind of figure that there is no connection (the yellow dot indicate this), but I don't know how to fix it, hence the question.

Thank you for your note.

Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to an email to platformsupport[AT]ninjatrader[DOT]com with "ATTN CHRIS S 2038502" in the subject line so I may investigate this matter further.

• Open your NinjaTrader folder under Documents.
• Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
• Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
• Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
