Change in tick size
Hello, I was trying to add Sb/sugar futures to my instrument list and then I saw option where I can change tick size. What does that mean, I never traded sugar, but for example in ES tick size is 0.25, isnt that tick size universal for everyone or can it be changed as well, and if yes, what is the prupose for changing it?Tags: None

Hello Venom,
Thank you for the post.
The tick size is the agreed-upon minimum price movement of a security. The tick size is universal for anyone trading on the exchange that trades it. There is no need to change this value. In NinjaTrader 8, instrument data is updated by a server that is maintained by us (NinjaTrader). To get the value of a single tick of an instrument, multiply the tick size by the point value.
Please let me know if I can assist further.
