Connection Loss with Rithmic

Hi,

I'm running the latest version of NT8. I am also using Rithmic data feed. I find the connection dropping very frequently. I have one chart that uses Tick Replay and that seems to be the killer, Any ideas how to

a) get NT to automatically reconnect so I don't need to do this manually
b) improve the connectivity issue
c) improve processing speed with NT?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you for the post.

a.) You have the option to connect to Rithmic on startup. Go to Connections> On the side of your Rithmic connection click Configure. There will be checkbox for "connect on startup".

b.) Your connectivity issue is coming from either your local area network or your ISP. NinjaTrader will act like a radio, if you will, receiving data signals. Most of the time, your network connection this is not in the control of NinjaTrader.

c.) NinjaTrader 8 is a multithreaded application which means that it processes data will all cores of your CPU. This means that NinjaTrader 8 is quite robust. Tick replay will require more processing power, but any modern computer runs at a very high clock speed and had at least 4 cores. Third party add-ons tend to take more processing power depending on how powerful the addon is. The only way the user can control the processing load is to reduce the number of third-party add-ons being used or reduce the number of charts using tick replay.
