Where are Workspaces & Templates Saved?

I know where the folders are for my Ninjatrader 8 Workspaces and Templates, but they are empty. I have saved templates and workspaces that I created after installing Ninjatrader 8, but they are not in the folders.

I am afraid to shut down NT8 now because I don't want to lose the templates and workspaces I set up.

To be clear: I can see the templates and workspaces from the NT8 platform itself. I can see my saves workspaces in the Tools menu, and see my saved Templates when I right click on a chart. But I do not see the Workspaces and Templates in their respective folders inside the NT 8 program folder on my C-drive.

Further, I have placed some NT8 template files and workspace files into the NT 8 programs folders on the C-drive. But they do not appear from inside the NT 8 platform. That is, those Workspaces are not listed in the 'Tools' menu, and not listed when I right click on a chart. I can see from the platform itself only those templates and workspaces I have created new after installing NT 8.

Thanks for your post.

The template/workspace folders you are looking for will be located in your user data directory \Documents\NinjaTrader 8 . The \Program Files (x86)\NinjaTrader 8 folder is used as the installation directory and you will generally not need to go in there.

When adding your templates to the \Documents\NinjaTrader 8 folder be sure to put them in the correct sub folder to have them displayed in the platform.

I have a whole bunch of "untitled' workspaces open, how can I get rid of them in one go? I don't want to be sitting and deleting workspaces all day. I can't find the templates/workspace folder in \Documents\NinjaTrader 8

Exit NinjaTrader, and go into Documents -> NinjaTrader 8 -> workspaces, and delete the workspaces you don't want e.g. Untitled*, then restart the platform.
