ATM: Stragegy please explain how it works with successive orders

    Let's say I have a TP 10, SL 20 ATM strategy

I jump in buy 1 contract

market moves +5 points, I add another buy 1 contract

market moves another +5 points, I add another 1 contract

    market moves -15 points

what happens to the SL at each of these stages?

    Hello,

Thank you for your post. Because the ATM Stop Loss / Profit targets are each linked with OCO, when the first or later targets /stop are hit due to the price action, the associated stop or target will cancel. See below for more on ATM features if needed.

Let us know if we may assist further.

ah so this means the SL and TPs are treated individually? 3 different SL and 3 different TP in my example? SLs would be triggered at 3 different prices?

I was just trying to make sense of how it looks when you open successive buys on the chart trader, where everything looks combined

        Thank you for your reply.

If the same strategy is selected the orders will combine at the same price levels - orders can be separated or managed via the Control Center Decrease / Increase or Cancel buttons (right click > Properties to enable via check box). Using a separate strategy would allow at different price levels to be entered when adding to the position.

            Thank you for your reply.

Sorry for the confusion -- my last reply is specific to ATMs or Advanced Trade Management semi-automated strategies, which are more manual than automated NinjaScript strategies. To clarify, by using a different strategy I mean via the ATM Strategy drop-down. I suggest testing via the Control Center > Connections > Simulated data feed option to best see the ATM order behavior.
