What does Instrument Link 'Link All' do on Chart?

I can't figure out the purpose of the "Link All" feature. It is one of the colors in the linked colors at upper right of charts and other objects. Is there documentation?

Selecting Link All will result in the specified window receiving transmission from windows with any link color selected.
