How can I see bitcoin futures (NT 8 ) by IB data feed?

Hello tozsdecapa,

Can you please go to Control Center-->Instruments. Type XBT for the Bitcoin futures on Cboe and BTC for Bitcoin futures on CME. Please note that the BTC futures does not trade yet. It starts trading December 18th.

I can"t see the bitcoin chart,

I see it: "Error on requesting bars series. IB was unuble to locate instrument. Please verify your symbol mapping is for instrument XBT 01-18 Cfe.

how to do this?

Can you please go to Control Center-->Tools-->Instruments. Type XBT. Double click the XBT futures and a new window appears. Please enter XBT in the Interactive Brokers field and click OK. Click OK in the Instruments window. Create a new chart and check if data is loaded.

What version of NinjaTrader 8 are you using? This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 8.0.X.0)

Please confirm - are you able to see real-time data (not delayed) for XBT within Trader Workstation? A quick way to tell is the color of the dot next to the instrument in the watch list. If you hover over the dot, it should let you know if it is real-time or delayed (green or yellow).

If the data is delayed, you will first need to enable real-time data in your Interactive Brokers account management. NinjaTrader does not support delayed data.

If you've confirmed that your XBT data is real-time, please follow these steps to change the symbol mapping for XBT:

• Disconnect from all data feeds
• Tools > Instruments
• Locate and select 'XBT' > Edit
• Scroll down to the mapping section of the instrument properties window
• Find 'Interactive Brokers' (it should say 'XBT')
• Change this to 'GXBT' > OK > Close
• Reconnect to Interactive Brokers and try to chart XBT
