Restore dialog defaults

Is there a way to restore pop up dialog Q/A to defaults? For example, if I inadvertently or mistakenly check the "Do not show this message again?" is there a way to recover?

Thanks for your post.

There is not currently a way, that I have been able to find, so that the 'Getting Started 'dialogue will pop up automatically again after checking "Do not show this message". You may however access the same 'Getting Started' window by navigating to Control Center> Help> Getting Started

Restore dialog defaults

Actually the question arose this morning when I manually rolled a futures contract forward on a chart with alerts set. A box popped up with a question, something about how to handle the alerts as I recall, and I fumble-fingered my response, disabled the message, can't get it to re-appear.

I wonder if to save the workspace, then re-install NT would restore such questions?

This prompt could be restored by removing your UI.xml file located in the \Documents\NinjaTrader 8 folder. It is likely possible to edit a line inside that file to restore the prompt, but that will take some testing on our end. I'll let you know if I can find out some more information on this item.

Thanks. I suspected something like that may be the case. I can probably figure it out by examining the XML file.
