Cannot connect to FXCM after update ?

    Cannot connect to FXCM after update ?

    I have updated to latest 8.0.16.3 on two machines and afterwards, I cannot connect to FXCM on either.
    Machine one has a lifetime license so I can only connect with FXCM, but my other machine has a demo Licence and alternatives with City Index.
    City Index connects fine first time and yet FXCM doesn't.
    The error says Login failed. (Panic)
    Anyone with any ideas why?

      Just had a report from a fellow trader and he had exactly the same, crashed after attempted connection?
      My machines are not crashing but having a "cannot connect error".

      Will get on to FXCM Monday morning and see if they are having problems?

          Looks like FXCM have sorted it out. Working OK now

            Hello fredfred,

            Typically there is maintenance on the weekend with most brokerage servers on Friday night and / or Saturday.

            Most brokerages will have the maintenance completed Sunday before market open. You will need to restart and reconnect NinjaTrader if NinjaTrader is open during this time.

            If you are unable to connect after this time and you have restarted, please send an email to platformsupport [at] ninjatrader [dot] com so that we may schedule a call during our normal support hours of 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern, Monday through Friday.

                Hello Menno,

                Please wait until just before forex market open or during market hours.

                Then:
                • Restart your internet modem, and (if a separate device) router, and also restart the Computer
                • Ensure exceptions have been added into any firewall/antivirus/backup programs for the (My) Documents/NinjaTrader 8 folder
                • If you are not already and the option is available to you, I highly recommend connecting to the internet using an ethernet cable. Wireless connections are significantly more unreliable
                • Ensure you are using 8.0.20.1
