wondering why some day I see boxes and some other days lines? any suggestions? see attached screens of chart and settings

This appears to be a horizontal scaling issue. In other words, there is not enough horizontal space to include visible space between the boxes. If you adjust the horizontal scale of your chart, do you notice that the boxes show space in between them again? Left-click and drag to the left on the time stamps of your chart.
