Multi-broker connectivity not working

Hello,
I am using Kinetick as my main data provider for real-time data. However, I have only a subscription for Nasdaq data (which is mostly what I use).
Occasionally I need data on an Nyse instrument. What I did is have a secondary connection to my broker (Interactive Brokers).
As i understand the documentation this should work - any Nyse related data query will be passed to IB . Is my understanding wrong?
What I am seeing is , for example:
"SPY market data is delayed since your account does not have a real-time subscription for the exchange this market trades on"
What am I missing here ?
I am using NT 8.0.16.1 64-bit

Thanks for the note.

Data is defined per instrument class, not per exchange. For instance, If you connect to Kinetick first, and IB second, all stock data would come from Kinetick. Your secondary data feed will only provide data for any instrument classes not supported by your primary connection.
