Winter/Summer Time change for deep historical data

Hello guys,

could anybody tell if NinjaTrader respects somehow changes of Winter/Summer time when loading a lot of historical data (intraday)?
For example CL (crude oil), if I load data from August 2017, would it be winter/summer change considered for whole loaded period?

I am going to be providing an answer under the assumption that you're connecting to a CQG-based connection which uses NinjaTrader's historical data servers. If you're using a different connection. please contact your historical data provider directly.

NinjaTrader's historical data servers are set to UTC, which doesn't have Daylight Saving Time. So, historical data is sent from our historical data servers in UTC and then the time zone/Daylight Saving Time is handled by your local PC/NinjaTrader time zone settings.

I'm using IQFeed and as far as I know they use EST for historical data. Do I need to have any special settings in NT to convert to UTC for NT handling?

First I'd recommend contacting IQFeed directly to confirm that. If the data in fact comes with DST built into it, there would be no way to change that locally within the NinjaTrader platform.
