    affected order buytocover

Hi today i had a trade on which was in profit the stop was moved to breakeven plus one tick ... when the market turned the buy to cover order was affected which was a stop market order

the affected order caused 100s of popup errors and froze the platform , it also disabled the strategy but did not exit the position which left me naked in the market with a frozen platform.

how can i make sure when this happens that the position is closed. i understand fast ,moving markets can skip my stop level but i can not afford to be left naked without a stop in the market.

    Any help is appreciated

    Hello gbux11,

    Thank you for the note

If the market moves quickly, setting stops and targets close to each other could cause this error. What you could do is implement error handling logic that will handle rejected orders.

You need to set RealtimeErrorHandling = RealtimeErrorHandling.IgnoreAllErrors; in your strategy so that NinjaTrader does not disable the strategy and implement error rejection logic. There is a brief example on this help guide page:

Please also see this help guide page on submitting protective orders in OnOrderUpdate and OnExecuitionUpdate.

Please let me know if I can assist further.
