Hi,

I lost all my strategies .. . any way to retrieve it without having to get hard drive sent in to retrieve the lost data?

Hello Priceisking,
Currently NinjaTrader does not backup files to a cloud or outside of your PC. Can you please clarify if you have the strategies in a backup file or from the third party in an email (if this is a custom automated strategy)?

They were all custom written strategies.

If they are from a third party vendor I would recommend contacting the vendor for the strategy. If these were personally made strategies that were not manually backed up or stored off the PC you will only be able to recover them from the original PC.

Thanks. Do you know which folders the strategies are placed when we import them? I can possibly have it restored by directory through disk recovery.

I have some that were written by me and some that were imported. The ones that were written by me were never exported out so i'm not sure which folder they would be in for me to recover it from.

The strategies will be located within Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom\Strategies.
