NT8 automatically download historical data for instruments with charts, market analyzer open in workspaces upon data feed connection, is there a way to turn on/off this feature?

Thank you for your post.
Glad to assist. NinjaTrader will load data if enabled by the provider any time it detects data my be missing, this happens most often at start and connecting of the feed. This would only be possible via disabling historical data in general on the account (see Connections > Configure ). See below for more on when data is loaded.
