I cannot log in to my account on Friday night. Are the servers shut down usually on Friday evenings and weekends?

The behavior you were experiencing was due to data servers undergoing maintenance at this time. Maintenance is usually finished before the markets open Sunday afternoon so that you connect to account again. Weekend maintenance is infrequent but expected.
