Drawing lines gone after switching to playback connection

Hi,

today I draw some lines (Region Highlight Y) into the chart (all charts). After connecting to the playback mode and back all does drawing got lost.

Is that normal???

Thank you for the post.

Correct, this behavior is expected to happen because the chart usually will start from some time in the past, NinjaTrader will not calculate a drawing object that exists in the future.

I understand that when I'm in the Playback connection, the drawing is gone.

But I expect that when I get out of the Playback connection the drawing are coming back. Do they get lost forever, NT8 does not save those somewhere?

Funny is that lines drawn on indicators (MACD) are back after switching to Playback and back!?

Thanks for the reply.

I tested this on my end and all drawing objects were removed upon switching back and forth from my live feed to the playback connection. It appears that upon connecting to the playback connection will clear previously drawn objects, if you connect to the playback connection, draw stuff on the chart, and never press play, then upon switching back to your live feed the objects will still be there. But if you draw them live then switch to playback, they will be cleared. One solution would be to make a Playback only workspace were you only connect to the playback connection. Then you can partition your live charts form playback charts.
