To configure your account to connect on startup, please go to the NinjaTrader Control Center and click Connections > Configure > Select your connection > Check connect on start up > Click Apply and OK.

There is. It is not a good idea. Do not do it. Why? What happens if for any reason you cannot connect? You will be in an endless loop and cannot start anything else. You will then come back to ask how to regain access to the NT workings, and will be told that you have to edit some xml file. All in all, a royal waste of time.

The behavior that Koganam is describing is a limitation of NinjaTrader 7. We specifically addressed this limitation in NinjaTrader 8 and, to my knowledge, it should not be possible to occur in NinjaTrader 8.

I've just tested for this behavior on my end and was unable to reproduce in NinjaTrader 8.

If a 'hang' of NinjaTrader 8 occurs on startup due to 'connect on startup' being enabled please report it to us so we may investigate further.
