Does NT8 only work with IB-TWS desktop ?

Hi,

IB is doing a major change in security devices to log into the TWS with an App in the phones. The problem is the TWS desktop version doesn't work with the generated codes from the phone app, but through the webpage it allows me to login with no problem. According to IB notice, we got about a month to do the changes, and I've written to them inform them about the issue, but I wonder: let's suppose that this IB desktop issue is not solved, will NT8 work with TWS-web version ? I've installed the IB api in my pc , and I don't know if this could help.

Please let me know of any idea, solution, notice...etc

Hello pstrusi,

NinjaTrader interfaces with TWS API on the local computer and cannot use the web version.

TWS must be logged in on the desktop for NinjaTrader to connect to TWS.
