Chart data migration error from NT7 to NT8

Hello,

I installed NT8 (version 8.0.8.0) on a PC with installed NT7 and during the first startup I followed the migration request. In general it worked and most of my chart data are imported into NT8 but there are some exceptions, e.g. ZE. Please see the relevant part of the log file:

Has someone made the same experience or knows how to prohibit this problem?

Thanks for your post today.

This would be expected behavior, as the ZE would not be native to NinjaTrader 8. You could manually add this instrument to NinjaTrader 8 manually, however, using the below steps:
-Navigate to the Control Center > Tools > Instruments window.

-Left-click on the ‘add’ button that appears near the lower right-hand corner of the Instruments window.

-Enter instrument-specific symbol mapping, exchanges, and other information on the Instrument editor that appears. This information will largely depend on your broker or data feed provider’s specific settings regarding the instrument in question.

-Left-click the OK button once each field has been filled out with correct information.

Hello Drew,

many thanks for the fast reply. The Futures-Symbol ZE is part of the database and helds every single expiration month (as typical for energy futures).

Also the migration worked for some of the expiration months of ZE but not for all.

In your message please include a link to this forum thread and a copy of today's trace files. You will find these diagnostic files in the Documents > NinjaTrader 8 > Trace folder. I will need to review a copy of the files which are named 'trace.20170908.XXXXX.txt'. There will likely be multiple files for each day.
